Long Description | : | Château de Terrefort-Quancard has belonged to the Quancard family since 1891. Built in the 16th century by a family from the nobility of Bordeaux, the Château is the witness of beautiful alliances and great destinies, he participated in the history of Bordeaux. As a peer of the realm, his active interventions facilitated the construction of the bridge at Cubzac by Gustave Eiffel. The vineyard of the Château is marked in the depths of his land by the invisible and valuable line for all the world’s greatest vineyards it transcends and crosses : the 45th parallel, located exactly at the mid-point of the North Pole and the Equator. Thus, the vines of Château de Terrefort-Quancard profit of a temperate, oceanic climate thanks to which exceptional wines are grown. |
