Long Description | : | The Chateau was built circa 1830 by Philippe Delacourt, Lord of Bourdieu, in the architectural style of the 19th century manor house. The map created by the famous engineer Belleyme, helped by Delacourt, shows evidence in the XVIII century of the estate. The château's pigeon tower, surrounded by vines, is the only remaining vestige of an earlier era. The estate is situated near the village of Valeyrac en Médoc, one of the best wine regions in France close to the Gironde estuary which is an undeniable asset. It is said that the river’s influence ensures a good wine because all year long, it regulates the humidity and temperature, which is essential for a good grape maturation. |
